Prophet Muhammad Lapbook

http://imanshomeschool.wordpress.com/2011/06/29/prophet-muhammad-lapbook-makkan-period/

Very nicely put together lapbook.  Details the Makkan period of the prophethood and goes year by year of that period, in addition to surveying pre-prophethood events.

Dhul Hijjah Lapbook

Here are some pictures from our Dhul Hijjah “lapbook.” Its not the traditional form of a lapbook, but rather just a traditional book.  For some reason, the traditionally folded lapbooks seem  kind of disorganized to me so I just put each activity on a different page.  All the kids sat down and we read through the lesson that accompanies the file and then I had them complete the work, well, they didn’t exactly finish, but here are pics of what the book looks like.  Again, not exactly a lapbook I guess, but it seems like it still does the trick, insha Allah.

Hindi Numerals Lapbook

Ideas for creating a hindi numerals lapbook:

  • A number chart
  • A number line
  • Numeral flashcards
  • Drill cards
    • Cards with rows or stair steps of numerals for student to read.
  • Sequence cards

Make up cards with one number on it and a blank line (before, on one card and after on another card.  Laminate this and student writes the number coming before or after as indicated by the position of the blank line.

Make up cards for a number missing in the middle.

To vary the activity, instead of writing on the card, paper number tiles or sets of objects can be placed in the correct blank.

Also, just take a set of digit cards (0 through 9) and have student put in order.

  • Dot to Dot worksheets. Print out dot to dots, white out the numerals or letters and replace with hindi numerals. Laminate. Here are some dot to dot printable pages from Kidszone
  • Numeral tracing cards. Laminated cards with dotted hindi numerals to trace.
  • Addition/subtraction cards with the hindi numerals used; laminate
